Having grown up flying and building gliders i had never really heard of the Tracker until i started competition flying and that only start since i joined the club who i fly with now.
The Tracker is a 100" Carbon and Glass machine which is most popular with 100" competition pilots and been around since the early 90's with a foam and balsa glider designed by Bill Dulson. In the late 90's the Tracker went to the next step to fully moulded with CNC moulds. I know it's been updated and the new modifactions make it look better than the older style in my opinion, less bulkie looking. The fuselage is all carbon and now has a 2.4 friendly nose cone, the wing are fibre glass and PVC foam and comes in many colours. I own 2 of the new style Trackers and they do fly nice and worth getting if your thinking of competition flying with 100". The price has not gone up for a few years which helps if your thinking about 1 or on a budget.
They can fly in varied wind speeds with ballast which slides down in to the fuselage, totally winchable and can take a fair amount of hammer on it with a ping off the top of the line with no problems.
Their made in the uk which means spares can be brought with ease over the phone or email.
All in all a good all round machine.
There are 5 members of my club who last year brought 1 each and they all seem to be happy with them and the last 1 which got test flown the end of last year the pilot was over the moon, with a big smile from ear to ear so it's going to be a very interesting competition this season with all the new Trackers.
