If it was mine JG, I`d do it in Antigue solartex. It`s not as clinical looking as white and is popular on big open structure models.

Kevin that was going to be my original colour but thought White maybe better, yeh maybe your right with White, i should stick with my first choice 10 meter roll needed.

Kev - It was not too bad to be honest, had to fill a bit more now letting it dry, so next time a nice day comes i will be back out.

Afternoon Everyone, I have done some more work on 1 of the wings today, i have capped the air brake and checked it works and all fine there, and i have sanded the capping flush with the rest of the wing, i have to say i am very pleased with how the wing has gone up to now, i have just had to use a little more filler to cover a few little marks which i missed. But all in all over the moon so far

Hello Everyone. Had another play with the Grunau Baby yesterday, sanded the wing down, checked air brakes again, all i have to do now is connect some more servo wire to the air brakes and then the wings are ready for covering

Hi JG, might seem a daft question but as I`ve never covered a wing that size, do you have to do it in sections and overlap or one piece?

Morning Kevin. I am covering it with Solartex, i have a 10 metre roll so fingers crossed i have enough, not too sure if i will be doing it in 1 section or in 2 section on bottom and again on top with the wing i will see when i measure up and lay the covering on, i think 2 section maybe easier to manage but we will see

Hello JG, have to agree that 2 sections would probably be the way to go. I assume with the join/overlap in the center. Best of luck anyway and keep us posted.
Cheers Kev.
