Well I'll start one off then....no doubt others will be along shortly...I love the convenince of slope soaring...model, tranny (Multiplex of course), mix in a bit of wind from the correct direction for the slope you are using, and then fill your boots. Superb fun and it can be as cheap or expensive as you want, Foamyto Carbon/Kevlar makes no odds, as long as your enjoying yourself and not being a tit with the public..

Have to agree. The thrill and simplicity of slope soaring has always amazed me. Many years ago I had all the latest moulded stuff and it was good at the time. Now though i`m on a very limited budget, flying anything I can get my hands on that`s cheap.....but, the thrill and grin factor are just the same, if not better ( and not so costly if it goes wrong!!)
Happy landings folks.

I know what you mean eagle. Never seems to be enough time or the wind is wrong, or tooooo much rain etc etc. Never mind spring can`t be too far away---can it?
Digressing somewhat. The picture that now appears below my name is of my Rico-she (phoenix models) 60" pylon racer/general slope soarer. It`s an epp model with ply doubles and spruce wing spars. They don`t make them now which is a shame as they fly well.
Cheers folks

Yes they are gjh. He has lots of plans available and he has also started selling some of his balsa kits again, all of which are very good. I had a few of them back in the day!

I love flying anything off a Slope, especially my Jart (not so lite now after a few repairs). The strongest wind I flew that in was 55mph-gusting to 65 at the Hole of Horcum. Only me on the Moors so no worries. At times I was getting blown backwards but I had a ball. The most fun I've ever had though was combating Erm! formation flying My SAS Fusion with a friends SAS Wildthing, lost count of how many times he knocked my wings off. Cheating sod had two large steel rods strapped to the Fuse', I didn't stand a chance. I have some mouldies but always enjoy the foam stuff better
