Hi Kev. Can you just outline again what your requirement is (as the thread is getting quite long now), also, could you please use mph or m/s instead of words like 'high' when referring to windspeed range (us flat field boys see 20mph as the upper limit for most of our competition work, you see!). Is it an Aileron + Elevator "Kipper" that you're after, or something more exotic? Just trying to help. Jef

Hi Jef, thanks for your interest and I`ll try and be specific.....note the word try ! Ok, by high winds I mean anything from 25 mph to 40+ and yes I have flown in winds that high ( and higher)--very exciting. So I want an aileron/ ele model ( with or without rudder), conventional or maybe flying wing (wings are very good in 40 mph winds) As finance is limited, exotic is out. I like building so a traditional wooden kit is good which is why I fancy the Chris Foss Phase 6. I had one many moons ago and although they are often looked upon as old school now, they fly VERY well. I would probably glass it to add strength. A slightly cheaper alternative would be a flying wing from Phoenix model products called `wingbat`. Once again an excellent model that will handle most winds and again I would glass it. Anyway, the purpose of the thread was to see if anyone came up with other models I`d either forgotten about or didn`t know existed. Hope that fills you in a bit more Jef ( and others) Cheers Kev
